voice test; santa i can't handle your angst right now.
[ you know, waking up in a whole new place without prior warning of having moved there previously starts things off on a rather familiar note. it's why he's not quite panicked ( not that he ever is, really ) when he wakes up at the sound of an alarm--the first thing he does is feel, realizes this is a bed, reaches above and...
it's not a bunk bed. not that he expected it to be, anyway. they'd played their nonary game and-- well. that wasn't quite important, anyway. they'd established that. right now, it was the matter of what this new place was... certainly not starting things off on an entirely safe note, given the whole "yay kidnapping!" part of the deal.
... still, he can feel that he's quite not alone, judging from the shifts beside him that had also started with the ring of the alarm. ]
Good morning. [ rather wryly, because it's not quite good at all but whatever. ] I take it you're rather puzzled as well?
[ why does he have a strange feeling about this. ]

Good morning. [ rather wryly, because it's not quite good at all but whatever. ] I take it you're rather puzzled as well?
[ why does he have a strange feeling about this. ]

[ ... that voice. that almost frantic reaction at his presence, and-- well, okay, mostly that voice. but snake wouldn't mistake that for anyone else except-- ]
Perhaps our captors have a greater sense of humor than I thought. [ though it's a very dark sort of humor that, snake can acknowledge but not really appreciate. but he's sure santa's feeling a bit more rattled about this situation than he is...
he's adjusting his cuffs; snake is admittedly a bit perplexed. ]
Unless this is a case of twice bitten, but I'd hope you were more prudent than that.
[ it's obvious from his tone that he doubts that's the case, but you know. ]

[Damn it, where's Akane—
Anyhow, Santa stands up, brushing dust off his pants.]
And you're the serpent man. Aren't you supposed to be the one with fangs?
no subject
[ haha no he's joking. it's obvious from his smile, right? maybe.
but he's not actually serious about the threat; it's the lighthearted kind of things that he told seven and junpei. not that he expected to share this kind of moment with santa at all. ]
But for this kind of situation, it might be best to cooperate. [ excuse him as he walks around, slowly getting a feel for the room-- ] I'll have to borrow your eyes for a brief moment.
[ ... hm. an awkward pause here, as he looks back over his shoulder in santa's general direction. ] Santa. There's a window here, isn't there?
no subject
Still, he can see the logic in cooperating, even if Snake isn't exactly on the top of his list of people he wants to be near.]
Yeah.
[He walks over to it.]
Over here.

I'm assuming it's uncovered. [ which is interesting considering they could easily figure out where they were.
though who knows if that would be of any help. ] Anything of interest?
no subject
Well, there's a giantass sign outside. It says...
[...]
"In Haven... we're all safe... together." Man, that's twisted.
no subject
. . . And wonderfully vague. Safe together, was it... [ safe and uncomfortable, maybe, in santa's case. ] With something like that on display, I can't imagine the rest of the surroundings are that appealing.
no subject
Ain't much that's appealing when you've been kidnapped, you know.

Though this place does look like it's ready to fall apart at any moment.
