axel eats while I play unfitting music

[This afternoon in Holly Heights, you may have passed by an odd sight. In front of one of the houses, there is a nobody seated on a lawn chair with several boxes of what appears to be ice cream to his left, and a pile of wrappers and sticks to his right. If you ask, maybe he'll share.]

[ was totally just passing by, but the sight of so many wrappers and sticks and ice cream would be enough to make anyone pause, probably.

so this is why she's drifting by, both hands behind her back, backpedaling and stopping right in front of axel once she sees that impressive display of food. ]

That's a lot of ice cream... Did you eat that all by yourself?

[insinerating]

[omg why is she so cute.

Axel has a bar of sea-salt ice cream stuck in his mouth when she asks, so he bites off a chunk before responding.]

Mhm, sure did. It's impressive, I know.

[centripetal]

[ oh... looking back down to the ice cream, trying to determine if it's something she's seen before. ]

It is! I don't think I've ever eaten that much before... I thought it'd give you a stomach ache. [ coming over a bit closer to look down at the pile of garbage. ] You must have a really strong stomach, huh?

[insinerating]

[Patting at his stomach]

I've got a stomach of steel! But these sure ain't living up to their price [he waves the bitten ice cream]. Seems like I bought all these for nothin'.

[centripetal]

Hm... [ picking up a wrapper and looking it over. ] "Sea salt". Is it not salty enough? Not... sea-y enough?

[insinerating]

Tastes too bland. I'm tryna figure out which tastes most like what I used to eat, but none of em have met my expectations so far.

[gesturing to the moutain of boxes on his left.]

Now I've got all these to get through.

[centripetal]

I could help!

[ a beat. ]

Oh, I mean with the eating. I'm not sure what the ice cream you used to eat tastes like, so I can't really help there…

[insinerating]

[Hmm, well that would definitely help him get through them faster..]

Alright, you're hired! You've been forewarned though, this is one grueling task. [he lifts a box of ice cream and offers it to Colette.]

[centripetal]

[ oh sweet, box. taking that and opening up the top, peeking inside and then… taking one out! ]

Heh heh. I'll try my best. [ and as she's setting down the box and unwrapping the popsicle: ] You must really like ice cream, huh?

[insinerating]

If you're joining the team, I'm gonna need a name.

[He'll be tossing a popsicle stick to the side. How unhealthy is this even..]

And eh, I guess. [waving a new bar in front of her with a grin.] Sea-salt's my favourite.

[centripetal]

[ taking a bite of the ice cream, taking in the flavor. it's... ]

Oh-- it's salty and sweet at the same time! [ it's. it's sugoi. sorry, she's not even paying attention to what was said because she's too busy staring at the popsicle. ]

[insinerating]

[kind of just watching her in amusement for a bit.]

Hellooo? [waving a hand to get her attention.] Earth to blondie.

[centripetal]

[ was about to take another bite, but stops once he waves her down-- ] Oh, um, sorry. What were you saying?

[insinerating]

Name! You got one?

[centripetal]

Name… [ how rude. she seems to realize this as she stands up a bit straighter. ] Ah, right! I'm Colette. Sorry, I got a little distracted.

What about yours?

[insinerating]

Colette, huh?

[will be committing that to memory, because that's what he does best.]

The name's Axel. Spelled a-x-E-L by the way, not like the gear.

[centripetal]

a-x-E-L, got it.

[ can she take another bite of ice cream.... yes she will be, thanks. ]

Does this really taste bland to you, A-X-E-L? It's really good.

[insinerating]

[pausing for a second, and then maybe snorting a little.]

No no, [wagging a finger] Aaaaxel. Axel. C'mon, say it with me.

[centripetal]

Oops. I thought it'd be more clear that way, but I guess it doesn't really work.

A-X-E-L. Axel. Is that okay now?

[insinerating]
