[ there are a couple of things in life that hanbei enjoys for the pure sake of enjoyment. reviewing strategies, observing (to-be-conquered) scenery... and tea ceremonies. perhaps it's because he can make some sort of progress in things with the aforementioned tasks, especially considering hideyoshi's purposes for tea ceremonies...

which is maybe part of the only reason he's capable of teaching the customs of it, for all its length. for a rushed man, hanbei is a surprisingly patient one--which is why he's not annoyed at having to explain complexities. another reason might be the identity of the recipient, who's rather capable in his own right.

his student? one ishida mitsunari. which is perhaps special all in itself. the tearoom is... quiet, given it's just two in the room. ]

I trust you're prepared, Mitsunari-kun. [ which is kind of a silly question, but he asks it just to start things off. ]

[ you know what's great? deals. deals are great, especially when they end in good things for both sides... though he only really cares because mutual profit meant things were less likely to explode in hanbei's face.

right now, though? he's not too sure what matsunaga hisahide wants from him ( or the toyotomi, to be more accurate. ), considering they've already struck their deal. though he has an inkling, artifact-loving as matsunaga is. ]

You want something more, Hisahide-dono? [ hands behind his back, all pleasant. ]
